Staff CPD
We offer a range of CPD sessions to help teachers and support staff build confidence, skills, and enthusiasm for outdoor learning. Our training is practical, engaging, and tailored to your school’s setting and priorities.
We can deliver sessions as part of staff meetings, INSET days, or twilight training, making it easy to fit into your school calendar. Each workshop is hands-on, giving staff the chance to experience outdoor learning for themselves and leave with practical ideas they can use straight away.
A key part of our training is addressing common misconceptions about outdoor learning — for example, that it’s only suitable for certain subjects, that it needs perfect weather, or that it takes too much time to prepare. We show how outdoor learning can be simple, achievable, and effective for every age group and every area of the curriculum.
Topics can include:
Outdoor learning across the curriculum – taking maths, English, and science outside
Developing school grounds for learning and play
Risk-taking and safety outdoors
Embedding sustainability and environmental awareness in everyday teaching
All sessions include reflection time, take-away resources, and follow-up ideas to help outdoor learning become a natural, lasting part of school life.
